Baby Shower at Chronicle Books

One of my managers threw me a baby shower at work last week. If you haven’t noticed by now, Chronicle Books knows how to party. IMG_3682 IMG_3683 IMG_3684 IMG_3685 IMG_3678 IMG_3681I feel like an exceptionally spoiled pregnant lady. The party was so sweet. Co-workers wrote bits of advice for me and Russell on adorable cards, brought gifts of their favorite children’s books to build Satski’s library, and played a due date guessing game. The cake was not only beautiful but delicious. One of my colleagues, Sally, made the cheerful arrangements from flowers she bought at the nearby San Francisco Flower Mart. And the decorations were completely functional: Aden and Anais swaddles and white onesies to bring home. This is my last week in the office until my maternity leave. What a wonderful send-off, right?
