Babymoon in Santa Cruz

A babymoon is typically a trip that expecting moms and dads take together before the baby arrives. But I think it’s just as applicable with friends.  It’s going to be a while until I can travel again with my girlfriends, and it’s one of my favorite things to do. So lucky me that my friends planned a quick get-away to Santa Cruz for the weekend, for our last hurrah. IMG_3663IMG_3665IMG_3664IMG_3661IMG_3660IMG_3662IMG_3659IMG_3658IMG_3654IMG_3656IMG_3653IMG_3655IMG_3651IMG_3652IMG_3650IMG_3648IMG_3647Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetIMG_3645IMG_3644Our first order of business was getting our chakras cleansed by an energy healer. Then we checked into our hotel, The Santa Cruz Dream Inn on the beach. We went to Soif Wine Bar for an aperitif before a long and luxurious dinner at The Oswald. We went to bed to the sound of crashing waves that night. The next morning, we had a hearty breakfast at the Aquarius restaurant in the hotel, sunbathed for a few hours, walked along Cliff Drive to check out the beach and a paddleboard surf competition. A quick two-hour drive had me back home in time for Sunday dinner with Russell. In summary, a perfect babymoon with the best friends a gal could ask for.
