Our New Home

Russell and I bought our very first home a few months ago! It’s still a work in progress but I wanted to share a few photos of what we’ve done so far. I’ll share a quick glimpse today and fill in some more details over the next few posts.

Here are the before pictures. We instantly loved how clean, bright, and airy the place is.

Everything was basically move-in ready and we really didn’t have to do much but add our own personality into the space. Things came together slowly over the summer and we still need a few things like a rug and some pillows, but we’re very much comfortable and loving our new home now.IMG_5114IMG_5116 IMG_5118 IMG_5122

The rooms upstairs need a lot of work (we still don’t have any bedroom furniture!) But at least the downstairs is completely livable, in fact lovable.

Coming up: more details on all the tables Russell built and our color-coded bookshelves.

  1. I didn’t realize those were before pics at first and totally got confused when I saw the furniture in the first pic Haha. Loving the place and the new decor! Russ did an amazing job with the table

  2. Hmmm. That couch looks perfect for a certain Mrs. Fresh Scratch to be your guest ;). Love it! It’s like you live in a tree house with that view – pretty amazing!! Who’s in that tank?

  4. So gorgeous. I love how you and Russell have implemented your styles and made the place look so modern and sleek. Great job, you two! And keep the home posts coming! So much design-spiration in all your pics! Which reminds me, when are we going to see the upstairs? πŸ˜›

    • Thanks Juli! We just found out our bedroom furniture’s delayed by another 2 weeks, on a boat from Asia. So looks like our mattress is staying on the floor for a while longer and our room will be looking very design-less, but I’m just calling it minimalist for now.
