Spring Break in NYC: Day 1

I’ll be sharing some photos from our recent vacation in New York City over the next few days. Though it’s only been 9 months since we moved from New York to California, we missed a lot of our favorite restaurants and friends. It was so good to be back.

We took a red-eye in, dropped off our bags (we stayed at this Williamsburg AirBNB) and went straight to Clinton Street Baking Co in the Lower East Side.

We had to wait over an hour, but the blueberry pankcakes are always worth it.

Then we went back to Brooklyn and hit up the Brooklyn Flea. Here’s Russell in his natural habitat:

We indulged in some retail therapy (I bought a seriously well-made leather bag from Kika). And then we were finally able to check-in to our room after being awake for over 24 hours. We were pretty delirious at this point and took a much-needed nap.

In the evening we met some friends at the Ides Bar in the Wythe Hotel, followed by dinner at Bia, a Vietnamese spot in South Williamsburg that was great about accommodating our party of 12.

A rainy but enjoyable first day back in New York.

To be continued…
