Sunday Supper: Korean Tacos

My friends and I are starting a new tradition of Sunday Suppers. We’re aiming to meet once a month, potluck style. Russell and I kicked it off at our place.

We made Korean tacos. And it just so happens that a plaza in Concord conveniently has both a Mexican grocery store and Korean grocery store, right across the street from each other.

We grilled kalbi flank steak, carnitas, and pork belly. Put out some sides. And let people create their own fusion masterpieces. This recipe was crucial and I highly recommend it:

Thankfully my friend Angie remembered to snap a photo of her plate. I was too busy eating. Angie also brought over the 7-layer dip that I forgot to take a picture of.

Macarons from Miette for dessert. Thanks Jean and Stacius!

Other friends brought over the wine, michelada cocktails, and musical talent for pre-dinner entertainment.

All in all, a successful Sunday Supper. Hoping to continue the tradition for many meals to come.
