So the sun came out this past weekend after a bout of cold weather in Northern California. Here’s how we celebrated.

With our friend Alex we hiked the Coastal Trail from Tennessee Valley in Mill Valley to the Pelican Inn and back.

Tank tops in mid-December? I love it. IMG_4074 IMG_4076 IMG_4078 IMG_4079 IMG_4081

We took a short break at the Pelican Inn for some coffee and good conversation about how to spend your jelly beansIMG_4086 IMG_4085 IMG_4083 IMG_4082 IMG_4089 IMG_4091 IMG_4092

After we finished the hike, Russell and I drove a little more South on the CA-1 to check out the views from Cavallo Point Lodge.

  1. We went to Carmel this weekend and it was so hot that we spent the day at the beach where people were full-on laying out in bikinis!!

    • He swears by them and even did the entire 16-mile Half Dome hike in them. He says they allow for softer landing and are easier on the knees. I’m tempted to try them, but I think we’d look pretty funny both wearing them on the trails. Ha!
