Friday Links: Bookish Gifts and Bookish Prints

It’s been a windy and rainy week here in the Bay Area, yet there are still sunny moments like this that I captured on my Instagram, that make me wildly in love with San Francisco. I was desperate for sun kisses like this in the thick of NYC cold.

It’s almost time to start shopping for the holidays. Here are some gift ideas for the bookworm in your life, via the very stylish and badass book blogger Mae.  edgar-allan-poe-eye-chart

Loved the sentiment of this bookish printread instead And oh my, they have a store nearby in Oakland. My wallet is screwed.  sign-1024x682

  1. I thought of your post the other day when I tried to organize my book shelves according to color. I thought it was a good idea. It lasted for about a minute before I had to reorganize according to author. 🙂

    • Haha, thanks for thinking of me! I couldn’t have done it myself. My husband totally surprised me my doing it one day while I was away at work. And though I love how it looks, it’s sometimes really hard to find the book I’m looking for. So organizing by author really is more practical. 🙂

    • I just went this weekend! A bit over-priced. They were selling a galley (an un-edited first draft of a book that we usually send out to reviewers for free, with an explicit ‘not to be re-sold’ tag) for over $30. Granted it was from the 80s and now considered “vintage” but c’mon, really? Cool concept, but too rich for my tastes.
