What Russell Wore, What I Read (at Home)

What Russell Wore:

  • Woolrich Coat, altered. He added the hood from an old sweatshirt
  • Ten Deep shorts, altered. They were originally pants.
  • Ugg House Slippers
  • I should also mention that Russell made the bridge he’s standing one. He’s one handy man!

What I Read:

  • LET’S EXPLORE DIABETES WITH OWLS. In turns hilarious and insightful. I loved reading more about Sedaris’ writing style. How he jots down every mundane detail of his day then spools them into the delightful stories that capture the hilarity of life and people spot-on. Thanks to This American Life, I also know the sound of Sedaris’ voice so well that I read each page with his distinctive voice in my head. If I had to do it again, I’d buy the audio tape. Proceed with caution, you may startle those around you with your guffaws and tears from laughing while reading.

  1. Russell is one multi-talented man! Anyone who can not only sew but build a bridge is someone good to have around. (And his taste in reading is impeccable.) 😀 Is this book available on Nook, I wonder…
Now that I seem to be embarking on a new career–freelance writer and editor–I might actually be filling up my days (and, hopefully, bank account). Maybe this is the light at the end of the tunnel I entered when my school library position was cut from full-time to one day a week. Will there be time to take my fledgling ideas and turn them into full-blown books?
