Spring SuperFoods

A few months ago,  I wrote about fall and winter superfoods here.

Here are some tips from SuperFoods HealthStyle, specifically for the Spring season:

Spend at least 30 minutes outside in warm, sunny weather.  LA sun...

Eat kiwis! Kiwis are rich in vitamin C, vitamin E and antioxidants. When you shop for kiwis, choose plump ones that yield slightly to the touch. Toss diced kiwis into a green salad, puree into smoothies, add chunks to a turkey salad, or make a relish for grilled meat or fish  Love is Everywhere by bittersweetvenom.deviantart.com

Try to eat 1 cup steamed or 2 cups of raw spinach a day.  Best lunch ever: raw spinach, avocado, red bell pepper, baby carrots, diced chicken, and light champagne dressing. YUM!

Drink 1 to 4 cups of tea daily. It’s good for you because of the antioxidant flavanoids. Tea helps lower blood pressure and decreases sun-induced aging of skin. (I’m loving gen mai cha these days.)  Gen Mai Cha: #greentea #japanese A classic Japanese green tea mixed with roasted rice. Perfect with sushi and rice dishes. A mellow and unique treat enjoyed by countless people around the world.

Hope you’re all enjoying a happy and healthy spring!
