Happiness Project

Happiness Project

In the HAPPINESS PROJECT, author Gretchen Rubin commits a year of her life to getting happy by focusing on one resolution per month. These things include loving, finding fun, asking for help, keeping a journal, etc. She then catalogs (in a scientific but charming way) her results.

This got me thinking about how I’d organize my own happiness project. What makes me happy? And I came up with these themes:

  • TIME
  • LOVE

  • Work out at least 3 times a week
  • Eat well
  • Sleep well
  • Listen to my body

  • Work hard, work smart
  • Save money
  • Spend wisely

  • With Russell
  • With family
  • With friends, old and new
  • With myself

  • Know what I can and cannot change
  • Learn new things, all the time

  • Because really, all you need is love.

  1. Thanks for this I needed to read such a post!
I’ve had a grumpy December and January, as I’ve had one infection after another and every member of our household has been poorly at some point. All that nursing and sneezing and coughing sure does get to me after a few weeks! So, yes, I do need to find my own happiness and go out there and get it !
    Thanks for the reminder 🙂
