My Big Fat Bookish Wedding

I always dreaded the idea of wedding planning, so call me crazy for deciding to have 3 receptions in 3 different cities. My rationale was that each party would be smaller and more informal. It was a lot of work but in the end I loved celebrating in 3 places that meant a lot to us and being able to encompass a lot of different traditions.

Our first reception was a traditional Korean ceremony at the Cerritos Public Library in Southern California where I grew up. I incorporated a lot of bookish details like book centerpieces, vintage library card seating arrangements, a typewriter with paper scroll as a guestbook, and a photo-shoot through the library that I love so much. The Cerritos Library is really amazing. Here are some photos so you can see for yourself!

  1. Oh my gosh! This is wow…. Sooooo cool in every way, As much as I’m mega far away from this moment this is just wow….. Soooo cool *Speachless*

  2. You two know how to party. I loved the photos my favorites were of you guys in the library, the old school library card and that typewriter. I think I owned one just like that. Congrats!

    • Very sad, no decent libraries. Another negative thing about a place that holds so many tragic connotations for so many.
