Ree Drummond aka THE PIONEER WOMAN is one of my favorite bloggers and cookbook authors. What I love most are her step-by-step instruction photos. While most cookbooks would simply say something like “julienne the carrots,” Ree actually shows what a julienned carrot looks like. So simple but so useful! Especially for novice cooks like me.
She has two cookbooks out now, both full of amazing photography by Ree herself.
This was my first time cooking shrimp. Shrimp kind of creep me out. Why do they go from grey to pink? Anyone else feel me on this?
This recipe ended up being fairly easy but just required a lot of chopping and prepping.
See what I mean by really nice step-by-step instructions?
Here’s what my final product looked like. Not as pretty, but it sure was tasty.
What do you think? Is this a recipe you would try? Or if you’re creeped out by shrimp like me, maybe you can try this with chicken? Let us know in the comments below. Full recipe here.
